Alone

Article submission, May 8, 2026

Being completely alone carries it’s own special pain. Not living alone we are talking about being alone with no one ever! No one to ask how you day is.
No one to share good or bad news, or any news with. No conversation at all somedays.

It’s hard to go out of the house sometimes because you see older couples in love until the end. You see families having dinners. Hearing laugher and celebration, when
you have no one to celebrate with. Ever. Not even on Mother’s Day.

You pay a phone bill every month and should feel accomplished and proud about that, but you are not. Having a phone is literally not needed.
The phone never rings, no one messages, texts. Even with all the technology, and the ease of connecting so easily and freely, the phone sits empty.

Holidays carry an unbearable, heavy weight. They become “just another day” and that is the last thing you’ve wanted. No cards, gifts, flowers, gifts cards or sweet messages.
Zero effort from every person you’ve ever known. Your mother and sister live one hour away and have new vehicles and you don’t get an invite. You never get an invite. Holidays breed a new pain, one that is smothering and suffering. One that breaks your heart a little more each time.

You lie and tell people you have no family because you can’t understand why NO ONE wants you or wants anything to do with you. However, people are not completely blind.

You face so much rejection and so many no’s that you stop asking for people’s company and stop inviting others. You keep so busy you are almost burnt out, because too much time on your hands can be harmful, not helpful. You must control your mind from wandering.

It is a known face that everything needs love to grow. If not you may die, die of a broken heart. You don’t know what you ever did that was so bad.

You think you are too ugly.
Your are too fat, stupid,
or maybe i just smell bad.

You tell people you are fine, when you are so hurt, you want to cry until you die.
Building and making lasting moments and memories does not happen. You are not mad or angry
just extremely hurt and scared you will die of a broken heart.

Every Jimi Hendrix live performance was an event, a living legend; his charisma, his spectacular grandeur on stage was unique, there will never be another like him, Jimi Hendrix forever, here's anThe Story of Jimi

What Really Happened to Jimi Hendrix?

As a writer it has been on my mind, and I want to investigate and find the true facts on what really happened.

First, when Jimi passed away on September 18, 1970, it was assumed that it was a heroin overdose. That is what was posted in the papers. The Enquirer and other papers.

Second, I watched a documentary in which Jimi’s girlfriend, at that time, had spoken about the night of Jimi’s death.

Jimi and his lady were at home in their apartment. They had dinner and shared a bottle of wine. It was a quiet night, and Jimi took his regular dose of sleeping pills just before going to bed. His lady went to bed shortly after. Jimi never woke up.

Also, in the same documentary, Jimi had said himself, he had a premonition in which he died very early of natural causes. Jimi openly talked about his fear and thoughts of his life ending early. He had the premonition, also he FELT it. Interviewers at that time were taken back by Jimi’s statements and tried to laugh it off or change the subject. No one wanted to listen. No one wanted to talk about it. Interviewers did not know what to do when Jimi brought it up.

Third, I also watched another tv show and it was reported that Jimi took too many sleeping pills causing an overdose.

Then I find another report by the Vancouver Sun, which states that Jimi choked on his own vomit after overdosing on sleeping pills.

Did Jimi Take more pills than his lady originally thought?

What really happened?

I find it odd; there have been varied reports of what caused his death. So I am investigating and researching to find the facts.

Fact: Jimi had a rough upbringing, and received little love, security or support.

Fact: Yes, Jimi did pop pills,

Further to my readings, this is from “The Jimi Hendrix Experience,” by Jerry Hopkins

11pm – Jimi had dinner and some wine

1:45am – Jimi goes to some people’s flat, his lady friend drove him

3am – Jimi’s lady friend picks him up

7am – Lady friend takes a sleeping pill, goes to sleep

10:20am – Lady friend awakes, Jimi is asleep,

Lady friend cannot wake Jimi and notices nine of her sleeping pills are missing. Also, nine Vesparax pills were missing.

Lady friend cannot wake Jimi; an ambulance is called. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Jimi is pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed three days after Jimi’s death

Jimi was found to be “a well nourished and muscular young adult man.

No signs of drug addiction! No needle marks! There was no heroin overdose,

These findings state that

“Jimi had died “as a result of inhalation of vomit due to barbiturate intoxication>”

“What this meant was that Jimi had so depressed his central nervous system; he had paralyzed his gag reflex. Then, as his stomach rejected the poisonous overdose, the vomit was caught and couldn’t be fully expelled. And become Jimi was unconscious and unable to move, some of what was expelled was inhaled into his lungs. Literally, he had drowned in his own vomit.”

It is unclear of what really happened that night in question. The only person who knows what happened is Jimi’s lady friend. Unless someone spoke directly to her, we do not truly know what happened.

In conclusion I would have to believe the autopsy report as it is the medical findings/facts of how death occurred.

Minimum Wage Increases And Vacancies | Hoover Institution Minimum Wage Increases And VacanciesProud To Work For Minimum Wage

Think about it; I began to work at seventeen years old, which is when I obtained my first official paying job.

Prior to that, I worked odd jobs such as; babysitting, pet sitting, cleaning, yard work, etc. I also had a plan, obtain a job, thrive as an employee, and earn top dollar. Wow! I was in for a surprise! Before I officially begin to rant, let me explain, at one time people worked. Job of choice was not priority, work equaled money.

All work available was accepted and everyone worked.  People were proud to work hard and bring in an income.  My first job, a pizza cook, minimum wage were a mere four dollars an hour. Yes, I am old. LOL!  I remained at that job for five years, no benefits, and only a ten cent raise. My next job was also in the food industry.

Again, I worked for minimum wage, no benefits and only, again, a ten cent raise. When I received that raise I was told by my employer it was all the business could afford. Honestly, it never bothered me to work for “pennies” because I was  a working  member of society. I was also a single mother with a four year old son, and a two year old daughter. Three quarters of my earnings went to a babysitter which left very little. However, I continued to work very hard for minimum wage.

I thought I would be able to survive and live a descent life, but soon learned it was not possible. So I worked as hard as I could, as much as I could. However, it then meant missed time with my children. I missed walks, trips to the park, bath time, bedtime stories and more. All valued time I will not get back.

I continued to work for minimum wage until my children grew up. Then a friend suggested I return to school for further education and certification.  So at the ripe old age of forty-seven I went back to school.  I struggled, but worked hard and made it through. I did extremely well; I even surprised myself, and got a really good job before college ended.

It wasn’t the greatest job, but it was a huge move up for me. I also received benefits, sick days, and worked form home which meant very small gas bill. I remained at that job for a year and a half. I unexpectedly got very sick and lost my job. After months of sick leave, I finally mended and returned to the job market. Again minimum wage employment was all I could get.Ugh!

I was so frustrated! I also started to receive degrading comment from people about working for minimum wage. Are you kidding me? Really? Let me put it to you this way; without minimum wage workers there would be no coffee shops. No Time Horton’s! So, no more morning coffee on the go. I also see fast food chains shutting down. No more A&W, no more MacDonald’s, no more Burger King. What will happen now? Thousands and thousands of people out of work!  Services shutting down. I see the world as it becomes very small. Also gas stations and convenience store are now closed.

Are you starting to get the point? Is your thinking cap now on? Good leave it on! This looks like a huge global impact to me. The list of closures goes on and on. These jobs are VITAL to society. How can you possible degrade someone for working for minimum wage? Answer me this, why, why would you do that to someone?

We need minimum wage workers to keep our world going. So, the next time you want to poke fun, or degrade someone, or insult someone, for working for minimum wage stop and think.

Please be kind, and thank them. Show appreciation!  I work for minimum wage and I am dam proud of it! Rant over!!
